It is with great sadness that we report the sudden passing of Scott Weekes our former CEO and President on August 19, 2012. Scott lost his battle with cancer at the age of 51. Scott had recently taken a leave of absence to care for his wife Anne Laite who was also battling cancer, Anne lost her battle, passing away just two days prior to Scott on August 17, 2012. Our deepest condolences go out to Scott and Anne’s families and friends.

Throughout his years in the mineral exploration industry, Scott remained focused on generating top-notch projects and created a diversified portfolio of properties while staying true to his core values of honesty, kindness and integrity. He will truly be missed by his friends and colleagues in the industry.

A bursary has been set up with UBC in both Scott and Anne’s’ names as they were both graduates of Geology at UBC.
